I write about Life. Life is what all of us experience as Spirit, a part of the Divine, in human form. I hope to have others relate to my insights and experiences, to get a deeper understanding of their lives, and of their true selves. What do they need to find contentment? Most of all, they will enjoy reading my work. Philosophy for these modern times.
People who start to look into the deeper layers of Life are on their spiritual journey, whether they realise it or not. Many do not recognize that their feeling of dissatisfaction is because they have seen the limits of the superficial world. We all benefit from the Masters who have walked this Path before us. There are various paths, all leading to the same goal. We also benefit from the support and shared knowledge of our fellow travellers on this path. Let us aim towards being open-minded, evolving and improving. We can find happiness and fulfilment.
There will be regular blogs for you to read and comment on. Also, keep an eye out for new books from me.
I was born in Durban, but since then have moved around, having spells in Stellenbosch, Cape Town, and the Netherlands. I attended the University of Stellenbosch, attaining an Accounting degree and Honours post-grad in Accounting, then gained an MBA from the University of the Free State. Today, I live in Oakville, a town outside Toronto, in Ontario, Canada, with my wife, our three daughters and a poodle mix named Daisy.
My working life began as an auditor and after taking a year out to travel I then held several other positions across the globe, before I took on my current role managing the finances of private equity funds.
As an aside to my career, I am a keen writer and my book, A Man Called Stan, was released in 2003 and takes a philosophical look at one man’s life as he searches for meaning. It has just recently been rereleased and can be found on this website.
In my free time I love all sorts of outdoor sports from mountain biking to snowboarding. I also enjoy making music, hiking and am a life-long Yoga practitioner. I have travelled to over 30 countries , allowing me to be exposed to many different cultures and visit some fascinating places.
My ambition is to take my writing to new heights and to become an established writer who will inspire people from all walks of life.
